Tried Cork & Pig Tavern while visiting Midland and had a great experience overall. The atmosphere is casual but still perfect for a nice dinner or special occasion, and the service was friendly and attentive. We ordered the pork chop, chicken parmigiana, salmon, BBQ chicken pizza, and pepperoni pizza. Portions were surprisingly large and everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The pepperoni pizza was my favorite, while the pork chop and salmon were both cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were the only thing I expected a little more from, but overall the food was delicious. Really good spot to relax, share food, and enjoy a nice dinner in Midland.

Service was mid, the trainee was probably nervous, but that shouldn't keep the trainer from correcting the dining experience. Cocktails, appetizers and entrée were ordered. The bar delivered the best tequila based espresso martini I've ever had so we were off to a great start. Appetizer of calamari came next and it was terrific as well. Unfortunately after 2-3 minutes of enjoying the app, our entrée of short rib appeared. We felt rushed to eat the appetizers so our main dish wouldn't get cold at that point. We we able to eat the entrée while it was still warm but here we're the flaws the meat was tender but lost all its flavor almost as if it was braised to death. The sauce was good and reminded us of an elevated version of a famous rib sandwich with a Mc in front of it. This... all forgivable in my head... but the part that ground my gear and really messed up the experience was the undercooked vegetables. Most definitely blanched then seared with the issue of them not being blanched to tooth tender and still being hard, then having the texture of boiled root vegetables and just enough time in the pan to lightly sear but not caramelize. My family and I absolutely love making this our destination for special occasions and whenever we don't want fast food. They have great quality food and our personal favorite include the wood fire pizza, grilled salmon, and their duo dip. I adore the wood fire pizza; it has a perfectl sour dough crust and is well cooked. Another one of my personal favorites is the grilled salmon. It is always consistently cooked and has great flavor. I also recommend the seasonal vegetables.

I was in West Texas, eagerly anticipating a visit to Cork & Pig. However, I was unaware that they had expanded their presence by opening a new location in Midland. I went online, opened the menu, and noticed that they had the short ribs. Honestly, I didn’t read the description. The short ribs at the Odessa location are, without a doubt, the best thing on the menu. We arrived again and didn’t bother reading the menu description. We noticed they had a short. I opted for the short rib, while my coworker chose the Chicken Parm. When the food arrived, I noticed that it didn’t look, taste, or even resemble the short rib from their sister location. I brought this issue to my servers, but they didn’t seem to understand. He did explain that this is the standard short rib. However, when I opened the website, I noticed that the description and both locations are different. This short rib is, without a doubt, the worst I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for a good menu item, head to the Odessa location instead. This isn’t a cheap dish, and it’s not worth the price. My service was good. Wait time was great. Food is a zero out of zero, ask for my coworkers plate. He said it was very enjoyable. I h

The food was delicious and the service was great. The atmosphere is welcoming. It’s located in nice walkable shopping centers with other restaurants and shops.
